Cleaner beauty, a cause any skin loving lady can scream from the mountain tops or dedicate a glitter banner towards. I don’t stand on my soapbox often but when it comes to safer products I proudly stand up to petition. I first came across Ere Perez cosmetics online when searching for creme blushes (my favorite) and was pleased to find much more! I am by no means great at doing makeup, I often prefer a natural glow from within look and to accomplish this minimal makeup application is required. I prefer to use my fingers for creme pots since a lot of makeup brushes are synthetic or worse (animal based) so I often avoid them. When I saw that Ere Perez offered vegan ethically made makeup brushes for their creme pots I decided to give it a go and let me just state, damn! It seriously made a difference, it picks up the perfect amount of pigment and evenly distributes it upon my cheeks. After a few swipes, I had a natural warmth to my cheeks. If you’ve been following me long enough you know I don’t wear foundation. However, I’m not partial to concealer, especially since my nose surgery! I recently broke my nose in two places and had to get corrective surgery and afterward I had some crazy bruising and inflammation. I still had to function and go out in public and this concealer gave me the confidence to present myself in society.
- The Ere Perez Arnica Concealer did an amazing job of covering my black and blue bruises! I’m normally wary of yellow undertoned concealer since I’m so pale but this was more than necessary, especially if you mainly conceal under your eyes and have blue toned bags below the eyes. You see, yellow is the opposite of blue on the color wheel and effectively counteracts this color. Due to this, the yellow undertone calms the skin tone while providing even coverage! Also, alongside amazing even coverage, it also treats blemishes! Often times applying makeup to acne can only fuel and exacerbate the problem. Arnica, the main ingredient in this concealer is an antiseptic and anti-inflammatory. This means while this concealer is kicking bacterias butt it is also reducing redness.
- The Carrot Colour Pot in Holy is a creme blush that is a deep plum pigment and universally flattering! This can be used on the cheeks and the lips and even the eyelids to achieve a more monochrome look. The ingredients used are avocado, olive, and vitamin E oil. These oils help keep the skin moisturized and dewy. While the special ingredient of Carrot offers a slew of antioxidants that have been revered for its anti-aging and sun protection properties. All in all, this creme blush offers all-day hydration and a pop of long-lasting color. Fun fact about the packaging is that the cap has a reflective mirror to make re-applying throughout the day a leisurely breeze.
- The Australian Blue Cypress Face Nectar is my current facial oil obsession! The Austrailian Blue Cypress Face Nectar is lightweight and easily absorbs into the skin. This oil is a mixture of camellia, cedarwood atlas, frankincense, grapeseed, jasmine, jojoba, rice, and vitamin E. All of these oils work in harmony to balance sebum production, provide moisture, and reduce inflammation. This product was a major lifesaver when it came to my post-surgery inflammation. I recommend this oil as a primer before makeup and just as an everyday moisturizer.
